Grounded in education, increasingly fluent in product

I have spent my career building learning experiences that have to work in practice, not just in theory. That has meant designing for mixed confidence levels, organisational constraints, accessibility requirements, and deadlines that rarely move. A significant proportion of the learners I have worked with have had additional needs — including ADHD and autism — and designing inclusively has never been optional.

The evidence that this approach works is in the outcomes. The T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development programme I designed and launched from inception has achieved 100% student achievement in each of its first two years of delivery, against a considerably lower national average. All assessment is externally set and marked, which makes that figure genuinely meaningful.

What has changed in the last few years is the speed and shape of delivery. AI tools now let me move beyond concepts and into working artefacts quickly: prototype an idea, test a flow, build an internal tool, or assemble a full case-study-ready application in days rather than weeks.

That combination is the thread through this CV. I care about clarity, sound pedagogy, accessible implementation, and using AI as a practical force multiplier rather than a gimmick.

Architected, built and deployed a working analytics platform for the Digital Technologies department, replacing manual spreadsheet workflows with searchable, dynamic KPI reporting organised by department, course, and student level. Adopted by institutional leadership as the primary performance reporting interface, with historical trend analysis built in through weekly data capture. Delivered sole-handed using AI-assisted development tooling — specifically Claude Code — demonstrating the kind of lean, AI-augmented build capability increasingly expected of L&D professionals who own both the learning design and the tooling that supports it.

2018–Present

Hybrid instructional designer, learning technologist and programme lead designing digital learning, administering multiple LMS platforms, and producing eLearning content across T Level, BTEC and HND Digital programmes.

  • Designed and launched the T Level in Digital Production, Design and Development from inception, personally creating hundreds of interactive digital learning resources — achieving 100% student achievement in each of the first two years of delivery against a significantly lower national average.
  • Facilitated live Agile/SCRUM sprint cycles across T Level and games development cohorts, acting as Scrum Master for 20-week project delivery cycles producing industry-standard outputs.
